Associate Professor Dr. Evan Lau Poh Hock (Managing Editor)

International Journal of Business and Society

He is a well-trained Universiti Putra Malaysia graduate with vast experience and research excellence covering the areas of International Economics with numerous applications of econometrics techniques. Recently he ventured into socioeconomic discipline including Economics of Crime and Suicide. He joined Faculty of Economics and Business Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2005 soon after completing his Ph.D in 2004. He servicing as a senior lecturer since 2008 and promoted to Associate Professor from June 2014 to date. He holds the Managing Editor post for International Journal of Business and Society (IJBS), an internationally refereed journal indexed in Emerging Sources of Citation Index (ESCI), ASEAN Citation Index (ASI), SCOPUS bibliographic database, Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC), ProQuest publisher, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, Cabell’s Directories (Economics, Finance and Management) and EBSCO Host Publishing. He is the director of Centre for Business, Economics and Finance Forecasting (BEFfore), UNIMAS which among other serves as a platform and reference point for business, economic and finance forecasting. He was the Visiting Scholar in Faculty of Economics in University of Cambridge. He teaches both the undergraduates and the graduate courses. At present he is the Deputy Dean for Research and Postgraduate in Faculty of Economics and Business.

To date, Evan Lau has impressive volume of articles in refereed journals (more than 70) and has also presented his research works in many international and local conferences. As part of recognition and internationalization, he was listed as Top 10% economists in Malaysia since 2008 and Top 12% in Asia since 2012 by the Research Papers in Economics RePEc database. He was also cited as Top 10 Most Productive Malaysian Based Authors in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences for the year from 2001 to 2010, published by the Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in 2012. Apart from that, his biography was selected to be listed in the 29th Edition of Who's Who in the world for 2012. He also indeed contributed to society in terms of economic research studies. Thus, an invitation was extended to him for interviews in several special programs on Budget (2006, 2011,2015), post budget 2013 and live radio interview in 2012 on the Malaysian broadcasting station. His profile is also made available at SCOPUS, RePEc, Research Gate, Google Scholar and Academia where he was among the highly cited authors in UNIMAS.

His excellence in research has brought him towards several award winnings. Beginning in his doctoral studies days, he was awarded with first prize from the Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2001. Subsequently, this led him on to more winning awards. These include: 3 times recipients of Young Researcher Award in UNIMAS; 2 times recipients Excellent Service Award, numerous research medals from several Research Expo (UNIMAS and UPM), best papers from several conferences and Highest Impact Journal Paper Award (Social Science Cluster) for UNIMAS from 2005 – 2015.


Professor Madya Dr. Mohd Rafi Bin Yaacob (Professor)

Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia

is currently serving as a Dean Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business, University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia. He was graduated PhD from University of Newcastle, Australia and currently teaching entrepreneurial behavior and also issues in commerce. His core academic teaching including research methodology, strategic management and international business. He is actively engaged in research projects on small medium enterprises (SMEs) and strategic management as well as corporate environmentalism.

He also supervises many Master Degree and PhD candidates at UMK and become external examiner for PhD candidates. He is very active in journal writing and presenting in research paper locally and internationally. Professor Dr. Mohd Rafi has numerous academic publications that have been published such as books, chapter in the books and also journal for example: The Development of The Malaysian Palm Oil Industry and Environment (2011).


Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalique (Assistant Professor)

Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Pakistan

Dr. Muhammad Khalique is presently working as a Director, MUST Business School (MBS), Mirpur University of Science and Technology Mirpur (MUST) Pakistan. He is a founder of MUST Business School, MUST Entrepreneurial Incubation Center and MUST Business Research Center. He received his PhD degree from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia in 2012. He has also worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Management, FEB in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak for a couple of years. He has 13 years teaching experience at national and international level. He has published more than 50 articles in international refereed journals, in conference proceedings and as book chapters. He has more than 180 citations. He is a reviewer of 12 international refereed and indexed journals. He is a member of various professional bodies. His research focuses on intellectual capital, knowledge management, entrepreneurship, innovation, SMEs & organizational performance. He worked on various research projects. He has conducted various workshops on SPSS, SEM (AMOS), PLS and Research Proposal in Malaysia & SPSS in HEC Pakistan. He has invited as a Keynote Speaker at national and international conferences. He has organized MUST 1st International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR-2015) that was first conference in Azad Jammu and Kashmir History.


Professor Dr. Asadullah Shah (Professor)

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia

He is currently working as full Professor in the department of Information Systems, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology, International Islamic University Malaysia. He has been teaching at university level from 1986. He earned PhD degree in multimedia communication from the University of Surrey UK, in 1998. He taught various courses related to the fields of electronic, computers, multimedia and research methodologies.

During his carrier of 28 years, he have published 112 articles in ISI and Scopus indexed journals. In addition to that he have published 12 books, including 2 books on research methodologies, and three book chapters.

Since last three years he have been working as resource person and delivering workshops on proposal writing, research methodologies and literature review at Student learning Unit (SLeU), kulliyyah of economics and ICT, International Islamic university Malaysia.


Professor Dr. Rafikul Islam

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia

Rafikul Islam is a Professor at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He served the university in various capacities such as Head of Department of Business Administration, Deputy Dean (Academic Affairs) of the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences. He also served the university as Deputy Dean of Strategic Planning at the Office of Corporate Strategy of the university. During the last 20 years, Prof. Islam has taught many courses in Business Administration both at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level.

He is a recipient of Best Researcher Award at the faculty level and Quality Research Award at the university level. Prof. Islam has published over 50 research papers in local as well as international referred journals. His papers can be downloaded from www.rafikulislam.com. He has published two books: Essentials of Management Science published by Thomson, Singapore and The Analytic Hierarchy Process : An Effective Multi-criteria Decision Making Tool published by IIUM Press. Seven students have completed their PhDs under his supervision as the main supervisor. He has attended international conferences in countries belonging to five continents: Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and presented research papers.

He is an Associate Editor of two International journals and member of Editorial Board of several local and International journals, mainly published by Emerald and Inderscience. He is well known expert in Analytic Hierarchy Process or AHP. He has conducted many workshops on AHP locally as well as internationally. He was the chairperson of the 12th International Symposium on the Analytic Hierarchy Process, held in Kuala Lumpur in 2014. His areas of research interest include: Applications of Analytic Hierarchy Process, Multiple Criteria Decision Making, Quality Management, Operations Management, Time Management. He is a member of Malaysian Institute of Management and life member of the Indian Society of Technical Education.


Dr. Nasser Alareqe

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia

He is a qualified trainer for Statistic Analysis Tools, He did more than 70 workshops at UUM, USM, UTM, ISUM, UM, UPSI, UPM, UKM, UiTM, UNITEN and IIUM. He conducted workshops using SPSS, AMOS, EQS, LISREL, HLM, Mplus, and SmartPLS, in addition to Bond & Fox Steps of Rasch Analysis and EQS-Item Response Theory.

Dr. Nasser analyzed more than 50 models in his PhD thesis using Winsteps-Rasch Analysis, AMOS and EQS. He has more than 7 years experienced to teach Research Methodology, SPSS, Rasch, and SEM in 3 levels (basic, intermediate, and advanced/multilevel).


Dr. Mohammad Nazri Bin Mohd Nor (Senior lecturer)

University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia

is working as a Senior lecturer at the Department of Business Strategy and Policy, Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya (UM). He earned his PhD degree from the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UITM), Malaysia in Management. His research focuses on Organization Management, Human Capital Management and Knowledge Management.

He is an Editorial Board, Innovare Journal of Business Management and Reviewer, Asian Journal of Business and Accounting. He is an author of several articles, chapter in book and conference papers on Organization Management, Human Capital Management and Knowledge Management. He is performing his duties as Internal Examiner, Academic Advisor and External Assessor.


Professor Dr. Saodah Wok (Professor)

International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia

is a Head of Research Communication and working as a Professor at the Department of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. She earned her PhD degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA in Organizational Communication & Applied Statistics. Her research focuses on Organizational Communication, Applied Statistics, and Journalism.


Dr. Nilanjan Ray (Lecturer)

He is from Kolkata, India. He has obtained his PhD; M.Com (Mkt); (Mktg), MBA (Mktg), STC FMRM (IIT-Kgp). He has 9 years teaching experience in BBA, MBA, BCom and 6 years Research experience and guided around 56 Post Graduate students’ project. Dr. Ray has contributed over 35 research papers in reputed National and International Referred, Peer Reviewed Journals and Proceedings. He has contributed 14 book Chapters and also Chief Editor of 4 Edited Book Volumes of IGI Global USA and 1 Research Hand Book from Apple Academic Publisher CRC Press A Taylor & Francis Group, USA . Dr. Pantri Heriyati (Head Of Program)

Binus Business School, Indonesia

She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 1st. She got the bachelor degree in economics from Padjadjaran University Bandung, Indonesia in 1995; master degree in marketing at Wollongong, Australia in 1997; Ph.D. in marketing management was earned from University of Indonesia in 2009. She currently works as the head of graduate program in Business Management at Binus Business School, BINUS International, BINUS University-Jakarta, the biggest and highly reputable private education institution in Indonesia. She also has a strong industrial background with more than ten years of experience in multinational companies. Her research interest is in corporate marketing strategy and consumer behavior. Dr. Norha Abu Hanifah (Associate Professor)

She is a associate professor in the Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi MARA. She earned her PhD in Biodiversity Management (DICE) from Univ of Kent, Canterbury, England. Her research focuses on Biosafety Law, Biotechnology Law, Consumer Law, Disabled Law, Environmental Health Law, Environmental Law and Policy, Environmental Planning, Food Security Law, Hazardous Substances and the Law, Natural Resources Law, Pollution Law, and Wildlife Management Law.


Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Asari Sulaiman (Associate Professor)

Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia

He is a lecturer in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Selangor, MALAYSIA. He received his PhD in microwave engineering in 2012. He was a Deputy Dean of Student Affairs from 2012-2016. Along that period, a lot of development programs were carried out to enhance student performances including leadership and academic achievements. A lot of his researches and publications become reference to the entire world through citation recorded in Google Scholar. His expertise also been accepted by other universities such as Anna University in Chennai, India and Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He also was appointed as one of the panels in few international journals and conferences. At present, his publications recorded in PRISMA UiTM publication are 4 books, 12 journals, 64 conference papers and 10 general publications while the h - index - 8 and i10 - index - 5. He also led some national-level and universities research grants amounting more than RM 1,678 million. Dr Asari also involved in consultancy projects either paid or unpaid. Due to the nature of his generous and love to share experiences and expertise led him to serve as one of the judges for International Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ITEX) from 2012 to 2016.


Dr. Mohammed Borhandden Musah (Senior lecturer)

He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Educational Foundation and Social Science, Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Malaysia. His work focuses on the management of higher learning institutions, educational supervision, quality management, leadership and followership. Kazi Sohag (PhD Research Fellow)

Kazi Sohag is a PhD Research Fellow at Faculty of Social Science and Humanities, and Institute of Climate Change, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Besides, he is working with Institute of Climate Change, UKM and Accounting Research Institute (ARI), Universiti Technologi Mara as research associated. He is awarded scholarship and research fund by education ministry research grant of Malaysia. His PhD research area is environmental and energy economics. Besides, he worked on financial economics, political economies and applied econometrics. He published numbers of research article in high impact factor journal like renewable and sustainable energy, Australian economic paper, energy, economic modelling, journal of poverty, and so on. He has published several book chapters in Macmillan and Springer publishers. Kazi Sohag is an editorial board member of international journal of applied research in business administration and economics, international journal of economics. He regular reviewer of Economic Modelling; Economic System; Journal of Business & Economics; Borsa Istanbul Review; Ecological Indicator; Energy Efficiency; Emerging Markets Finance and Trade; International Journal of Applied Research in Business Administration and Economics and so on . Kazi Sohag is professor trainer of econometrics techniques and various software like Stata, eviews, GAMS, and so on. He participated various international conference. Previously, he worked as visiting lecturer at Southeast University, Bangladesh, and several NGOs.


Dahlia Darmayanti (Lecturer)

BINUS University, Indonesia

She is currently Faculty Member of Business Management and Marketing Program at Bina Nusantara University-International (BINUS), Jakarta, Indonesia. She received her Master of International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, USA and is currently a doctoral student at School of Business and Management, Institute of Technology Bandung (SBM-ITB), Indonesia. Her dissertation research focuses on value co-creation, health care and branding. She has written Indonesian business case studies and conducted research in the areas such as health care, service marketing, green marketing, international marketing and branding.
